Thank you very much to SEP Geospatial for sharing their time and knowledge to help us with integrated surveying last week. We already heavily use our Trimble Geospatial R12i within our workflow but it will make us so much more efficient to be able to pair this directly with the total station.

Our final task was to take to the skies outside the church to take a series of photographs to aid with the drafting of the Measured Building Survey and to complete a Roof Inspection. The full suite of external photos documented a great record of the current state of the existing roof fabric and identified several areas for remediation.

Following the completion of our laser scanning and topographical survey works, we set about gathering an extensive internal suite of photos to record the built arrangement. With assistance from the smallest DJI drone on our fleet, we took a series of close up images of the internal areas that were out of reach from our hand held camera. The ability to focus the camera upwards made short work of gaining the appropriate angles to complete the survey.

We were extremely excited to get underway with this survey of a former church in the sunny town of Bridport in Dorset recently. We used a combination of our Trimble and DJI equipment to accurately record all of the details for a Measured Building Survey and a Topographic Survey. There were so many intricate details that we meticulously observed to produce an accurate plan and photographic record of the built form. @4dsurveyingltd were excited to be involved with this project to capture a detailed #pointcloud during the ongoing construction of this new Police Station.

We used our @trimblegeospatial #x7 to #laserscan the external facade to assist with the design of a large soffit that will return from the cladding to the brickwork. Due to the tight project deadlines associated with these works, we attended site to complete our survey, processed the data and returned a detailed range of project deliverables within 48 hours. This was a very interesting project to add to our #measuredsurvey portfolio!

The SitePro tripod supplied by @sep_geospatial resisted the high winds well to ensure that we captured the data efficiently against the weather conditions.

Can you name a better double act than the @trimblegeospatial #x7 and #x9 scanners? Whilst Batman and Robin, Mario and Luigi or Bert and Ernie come close, we think these two take the crown!

To further boost our productivity, we often utilize two scanners on the larger projects that we are involved with, to ensure that we gather data as efficiently and cost effectively as we can for our customers.

In addition to the #topographicsurvey we completed for the #renovation of the existing jetty, we also completed a full internal and external scan of the property to create a very detailed #pointcloud

Had to break out the waders and life jacket to complete a survey to facilitate the planning of remedial works to this jetty. The amount of interesting boats and vessels that past in the couple of hours we were onsite was fantastic, the lifeboat even slowed to see what we were up to! Our @trimblegeospatial R12i and TSC5 allowed for quick, accurate and efficient gathering of data to produce client deliverables.
